Occasional volunteer at the British Heart Foundation (local branch).
Academic Assessor with the Commonwealth Scholarship Commission. In this capacity my role involved reviewing funding applications for Ph.D. and M.Sc. programmes in Economics across UK higher education. The consumers of my reports were the CSC's distinguished Commissioners who made the final funding decisions.
Lent my signature in relation to the call to Prime Minister David Cameron asking for an urgent review of the refugee crisis in the wake of devastating conflict in Syria and other trouble spots. (see: Lending support to refugees).
